Calling all women
An invitation to the 2023 Inspirational Women's Conference.
All women are invited to attend the 2023 Inspirational Women’s Conference hosted by Global Coffee Break. Join us for a day of encouragement, biblical teaching, and worship.
The conference will be held on April 29, 2023 from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm at Compass Point Bible Church in Burlington, Ontario. There is also an opportunity to join online or on demand for those who are unable to attend.
This year’s theme is “I belong, completely and forever” based on Romans 12:5: “So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others” (NIV).
“We feel that coming out of Covid, things have really changed for the church and I think people have struggled to know where they belong. Some have pulled away from community,” said Marian Lensink, who works with Global Coffee Break and is part of the team organizing the conference.
Lensink said many people have been feeling lonely or isolated and don’t know where they belong. The conference is “an invitation to celebrate in community.”
The conference will feature biblical teaching by Jessica DiSabatino, pastor of Journey Church in Calgary and co-host of the “Down to Earth” podcast. Brooke Nicholls will lead worship, and Dagmar Morgan-Sinclair will bring a spoken word. Lunch, snacks, and coffee will also be provided.
“It can be very moving to be gathered with a thousand women in worship,” said Lensink, who is hoping for a similar turnout this year. “I’ve heard stories of people who have come to know Jesus in a very personal way. I’ve heard stories of women who felt called into leadership. There have been stories of women who have come with mothers and daughters and granddaughters – and women who have connected with old friends.”
The Inspirational Women’s Conference is also a great opportunity for people who are not yet Christians, but are interested in learning more about Jesus and what it looks like to follow him.
“I’ve really been blessed by and inspired to invite people in,” said Lensink.
Global Coffee Break, a program of Resonate Global Mission, provides resources and opportunities to help churches invite neighbors to discover God’s story together.
All women are invited to attend and to invite friends, family members, neighbors, and coworkers.
