Maaike first appeared in CC‘s pages as a teenage writer from Ontario. Maaike is intrigued by the symbiotic relationship between hope-oriented journalism and the arts. Her undergraduate degree is in Intercultural Service and World Arts and she creates original watercolours and graphics for CC (proving that work can be fun). Maaike is currently pursuing a MFA in Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia. Her debut poetry collection, Pin Bones, will be published with Central Avenue Publishing in 2027. HEATHER SNIPPE

Heather is currently a stay-at-home mom working part-time at her church and for CC. She takes care of classifieds, ads, bookkeeping and a few other odds and ends. Heather studied at Columbia Bible College in BC where she learned outdoor leadership and travelled to India alongside local missionaries. She also completed an internship program in Hawaii with Surfing the Nations, a non-profit humanitarian organization whose focus is on serving the local community and feeding the hungry. She loves exploring new places, learning about different cultures and being challenged in new ways. She now resides in Niagara, Ontario with her husband and three small kids. She is excited to be a part of theCC community!

Michelle is a long-time CC reader from Okotoks, Alberta. She is a former church administrator, legal assistant and Calgary campus ministry board member. She has been married to Leroy for 25 years and they have three children. She enjoys baking, cooking and reading.

Malik is a Toronto-based photographer and multidisciplinary artist whose work explores themes of belonging, identity and faith. He graduated with distinction from OCAD University in 2020 with a BFA in Photography. Shaped by his upbringing in France, Senegal, and Canada, Malik brings a rich multi-cultural perspective to both his creative and editorial work. Alongside his freelance photography, he serves with the MORE Network, supporting and promoting events for missionaries’ kids across Canada.

Angela is the co-author of Blessed are the Undone: Testimonies of the Quiet Deconstruction of Faith in Canada (New Leaf Press, 2024). She served as the Editor of Christian Courier from 2009-2025. Jennifer’s journey with CC began at ten years old when she wrote a story about birds. Now she lives in the heart of British Columbia’s Okanagan, where she works as Digital Editor, maintaining CC‘s social media and website. CC‘s redemptive journalism fuels her passion for bringing justice and restoration to the broken parts of the world. She is working towards a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies with a focus in English from the King’s University. In her free time she enjoys consuming any form of stories and writing her own.

Kevin Tamming is a designer who works for the Christian Labour Association of Canada (CLAC). He is excited to work with the CC team in putting out a culturally relevant newspaper focusing on Christ’s place in the world, at a time when that is truly needed.

Moriah Winsor is a fourth-year student at Redeemer University and Editor-in-Chief of The Crown currently pursuing a degree in Politics & International Studies. As she continues to pursue a career in law, Moriah uses her multicultural background and love of writing to blend journalism with her legal education. Outside of her writing and academia, Moriah is a competitive grappler and Brazilian Jiujitsu coach.

Abby is a photographer and author with a bachelor of communications and media studies from Redeemer University. She had her first piece of writing published when she was thirteen years old and since then has had more than 100 bylines in national and international publications, including blogs, literary journals and magazines.
