Rooted & Growing: One month left!

Sharing more from the art contest

Among the stunning entries to our Cover Art Contest on the theme of growth was this intricate paper folding by Geraldine (Diny) Wolters of Victoria, B.C.

Wolters says: “The maple leaf tree is a symbol of Canada, but also of Christian Courier, representing its roots in Canada. The ‘maple leaf’ tulips symbolize the connection between Canada and the Netherlands. The dove is a symbol of peace. It represents the message of peace for Canada and the rest of the world, a message that Christian Courier tries to spread to all its readers.”

Thank you, Diny, for creating and sharing such meaningful art with us!

The Art Contest is part of CC’s 2017 Rooted & Growing donation appeal. CC has an incredible community of supporters; many have subscribed to the paper for decades, nourishing the paper like the deep roots of a maple tree. It is thanks to faithful renewed subscriptions and donations that CC continues today. CC’s campaign has just one month left and has been blessed so far with the generosity of many. Thank you to those who have given, prayed and written notes of encouragement to our staff. We’ve raised $18,534 toward our $25,000 goal. Amazing!

To help us in this last stretch, you can give today online via our CanadaHelps page, through mailing a cheque to 2 Aiken St, St. Catharines ON L2N 1V8 or calling 905-937-3314 or 1-800-969-4838.
