Terry is Mi’kmaq with Acadian ancestry. Together with Bev, his wife of 48 years, he resides on Epekwitk (Prince Edward Island), one of the seven districts of Mi’kma’kik. Bev and Terry have three adult children. Terry holds an interdisciplinary Ph.D. specializing in Theology and Anthropology and is the founding Chair and current Director of NAIITS: An Indigenous Learning Community, a member of Indigenous Pathways.
