A Thought

if you look at the end
…………………………………………………..of a day,

at geranium streaks of sky,
a shot of sun fading in a vertical beam,
herds of clouds that flock to the west—

if you look at the dawn
…………………………………………………..of the night,

at the unveiling of the moon,
horizon melding into sky,
star dots poking holes in the dark—

if you look long enough
.………………………………………………….will the end
become
…………………………………………………..the beginning?
