Vilma Blenman is a Jamaican Canadian poet, a former teacher and therapist, mother of two and a member of the League of Canadian Poets. Her poems are dispatches from the diaspora where she’s an observer on issues of identity, Black history and the healing beauty of landscapes. She is published in the Canadian bestseller anthology series, “Hot Apple Cider”; in Ekstasis (Inkwell); in Faith Today and in Time of Singing. Vilma recently published her first poetry collection, Brown Eyes Watching, and is currently polishing another volume for publication in 2026. She lives and tends her garden in Pickering, ON.
