CC Board now open to new members

Christian Courier is an independent Canadian publication, now in its 73rd year of Reformed journalism ministry.

As a non-profit with charitable status, CC operates on the income from subscriptions, advertising and donations under the auspices of a Board called Reformed Faith Witness (RFW). RFW is currently looking for both nominations and applications for new Board members.

Board members must be familiar with CC’s vision and readership, and committed to a Reformed world and life view. CC is a national paper with readers from B.C. to Nova Scotia, so the Board warmly invites applicants from across Canada. Board meetings by phone or video conferencing are encouraged to reduce the burden of traveling. We seek to have a Board with a variety of gifts – academic, business, development, pastoral and others.

Christian Courier is a national charity

Our newspaper heavily depends on donations and subscriptions to continue our independent Christian journalism. Our visionary board obtained charitable status many years ago. (It’s now a trend for serious publications to try to obtain such status in our online world!) Please visit our secure site on Canada Helps to make a donation. You will immediately receive your charitable income tax receipt*. Thank you!

And, consider signing up for our e-newsletter to receive your CC weekly update in your inbox.

Why your support matters

Your donation is critical at a time when Canadian media outlets are cutting religion editors, removing religion pages from their publications, and seem to ignore the voice of vibrant faith communities in Canada. Christian publications across North America have had to cease operations due to financial pressures.

CC offers a unique Reformed perspective

Your donation to Christian Courier continues the development of a healthy journalistic witness in Canada under the leadership of Editor Angela Reitsma Bick and her gifted group of editors and writers.

Established 70 years ago, Christian Courier is an independent biweekly that seeks to engage creatively in critical Christian journalism, connecting Christians with a network of culturally savvy partners in faith for the purpose of inspiring all to participate in God’s renewing work with his fallen creation.
