Vanderwoude, Cornelia (nee Greidanus)

We came together on July 12, 2017 to celebrate the life of our dear Mom, beloved Nana and Great Nana who passed away on July 10, 2017 in her 95th year.  We got together to mourn  and to rejoice because we know she is now reunited with our Dad, Klaas Vandewoude (†1998) and her stillborn son (†1953) and daughter (ƚ1957) and back home where she so longed to be. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren had lunch at Swiss Chalet (one of her favourite places to eat) to honour her and then had a grand family reunion as we laughed and cried and shared special memories of her. Some of her great-grandchildren also participated with readings and music. A private family internment was held before the memorial service.
Nana is survived by her children: Joan & Joe Koole, Jill & Bill Lise, Margaret Vanderwoude, Martin & Elyse Vanderwoude, Renee & Tom Bilodeau and Cindy Crompton.
Nana leaves behind a rich legacy in the lives of her grandchildren: Janice, James, Julie, Jason, Kristy, Rebecca, Nick, Chris, Meghan, Katelyn, Frankie, Andrew, Justin, Corey, Alex and Josh.
Up until the last few days, she still knew all the names of her great-grandchildren: Isabella, Mackenzie, Lindsey, Joseph, Benjamin, Thomas, Michelle, Niya, Abby, Ethan, Jordan, Lachlan, Magnus, Emerson, Avery, Nolan, Bentley, Danika, Noah, Corrie-Lyn,  Elizabeth & Kennedy.
She is also remembered by her sister Klaske Bootsma and her sister-in-law Lolkje Greidanus in Brampton, and her brother Wieger Greidanus, and her sister-in-law Hennie Greidanus in the Netherlands, as well as many nephews and nieces and cousins in Ontario and in the Netherlands.
